Beetles

Beetle extermination and control

There are many types of beetles in Ohio, but only a few tend to be considered a pest in your home or business. We typically deal with Asian Lady Beetles, Carpet Beetles, Woodboring Beetles, and Pantry Beetles. However, according to The Ohio State University, ground beetles can occasionally also be a pest indoors. Beetles are usually not dangerous to humans and are mostly just a nuisance. Some of these beetles are attracted to lights and can find their way indoors through windows, doors, and cracks. For common indoor beetles, we recommend that you keep sanitary conditions and remove access to food. These beetles can also infest fabrics such as clothes, carpets, and beddings. To prevent ground beetle infestations, you should clear up leaf litter and wood debris around the home.
